He was born in October, 1940 in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona)

He begins his artistic activities in 1958, realising caricatures to people who were interviewed  and then published in the weekly  press “ACTION” of Vilafranca del Penedès.

In 1959 he collaborates with the sketcher MANUEL BARÓ ´

Between 1964-1981 he realises posters and  gets six first prizes.

In 1965 he becomes a member of the Real Artistic Centre of Barcelona,where he paints the figure “au natural”. He contacts with  different artists, meeting Casimiro Tarrassó who influences him a great deal , mainly  on his vision of colour. He goes on studying and practising different technics.

In  1980 together with other artists, he creates the “GROUP OF ART BARGALLÓ”

From 1981 he begins participating in oil painting contests , winning a lot of first prizes.

He displays his first individual exhibition in 1984, in “LA SALA MILÀ I FONTANALS “de Vilafranca del Penedès. One year later he realises his first exhibition in BARCELONA ,in “LA GALERIA GRIFÉ I ESCODA”, where the critic and dealer XIFRÉ MORROS introduces him.

From this exhibition he realises a lot of them in CATALONIA and the rest of SPAIN.

In 1991 he is nominated HONOUR MEMBER OF THE SAN FRANCISCO MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY HISPANIC ART, of SAN FRANCISCO,CALIFORNIA (EUA)

From 1990,he doesn´t sign his painting  as he had been doing it since then , with the name of R.Colomer. From then he signs his pictures using his two surnames : COLOMER PAGÈS.

He is a member of the association “ART DIRECTE”,devoted to the artistic spreading and to the cultural  eagerness through art exhibitions.

His paintings are, not only in private collections all round the world, but  in the following museums:
